Kevin Jackson

Kevin began acting in 2010 performing The Laramie Project at the Crucible Summer School. He immediately knew acting was for him and joined Carney Academy of Performing Arts, when it was created in 2010 here at the Lantern..

 

Kevin has performed with The DGP in Shakespeare: Method In The Madness, Love Labours Lost, Gasping, Seasons Greetings and The Cherry Orchard. As part of the Crucible's Sheffield People's Theatre he has appeared in Lives In Art and Sheffield Mysteries. His directing work includes the New Writing Festivals, Straight and Narrow (assistant), Black Comedy, A Kick In The Baubles, Blithe Spirit, Comfort And Joy and the 2017 festive production - A Christmas Carol here at the Lantern.

 

Kevin devotes much of his own time to his role as Chair of the DGP charity.

Philip

Simon Atherton

Simon died horrendously on the Lantern stage at the end of Gasping and is slowly trying to piece his life together once more. He has since appeared in A Kick In The Baubles and appears to have recovered slightly.

Sarah Spencer

Sarah's most recent directing work at the DGP includes A Few Good Men, Cranford at Christmas and The Crucible by Arthur Miller. She also acted in several productions over the years such as Gasping, Seasons Greetings and Withering Heights. 

Sarah was the Creative Director for The Dilys Guite Players between 2013 and 2017, delivering varied and quality programmes during that time. 

She has since moved on and is now pursuing her professional career in acting/directing.
