CAPA WORKSHOPS

Acting on Instinct - a way of using devising to release text and create the world of the play.

Bruce Guthrie currently Associate Director on the critically acclaimed production of All My Sons with Zoe Wanamaker and David Suchet is offering a one day workshop at the Carney Academy of Performing Arts.  All at CAPA are pleased that Bruce is joining us from London's West End. BRUCE GUTHRIE

 Currently Associate Director on All My Sons (Apollo Theatre)

Theatre includes: as Director, Tiny Kushner (NT Studio workshop), Stories by Heart and ICAF charity concert (NT), Actress Franchise League (Novello and Prince of Wales), The Elephant Man (Trafalgar Studios), The Long and the Short and the Tall (Pleasance), Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me (The Venue, Leicester Square, and Edinburgh Gateway Studio). As NT Staff Director: Mother Courage and Her Children, The Observer and Burnt by the Sun. Assistant Director: The Girl with a Pearl Earring (Haymarket Theatre Royal/Cambridge Arts) and The Lord of the Rings (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane). Also, resident director for Shadowlands (Novello), associate director of You Can’t Take It with You (Southwark Playhouse) and co-director of The Harvester.

Bruce Guthrie trained at the Guildford School of Acting (BA Hons in acting) and on the National Theatre Directors Course. He was artistic director of Creative First Theatre 2004-07 and an assistant producer for Andrew Welch Ltd in 2008
